If someone asked you "What is the purpose of Proctors Chapel Baptist Church?"... How would you answer?

Some might say, "to provide fellowship and support to other Christians".  Others may talk about "corporate worship and preaching".  Still others would mention "making disciples and ministering to the community".

I have found people COME TO CHURCH for many different and unique reasons - some spiritual, some very practical.  Though very real and motivating to us, this question should not be answered from our "personal need" but from a Biblical foundation of God's purpose for planting a New Testament Church in this community.

I believe every member should be able to summarize our God-given purpose simply and easily.  It is BOTH Biblical and functional.

The purpose of Proctors Chapel is:

This purpose reflects God's command to produce disciples who then GO and make more disciples.

So everything we do as a church can and should reflect this simple challenge!  "Souls Saved... Lives Changed... Hearts Renewed...".

Every Sunday School Lesson, Upward practice and game, Sunday morning worship, visit to the hospital or invitation to church should be driven by our "reason to exist as a church."

Remember our calling, purpose, and message and take your "eLife Story" (your story of eternal life) and share it with others daily.
